Whale's tale stop motion video

November-December 2015 - Group project

Experimenting the stop motion technique with former Studio Aardman animator Julia Péguet.

During my second year of Bachelor's Degree, in groups of 3, we were offered to try out the stop motion video technique during a workshop. The goal was to imagine and create a short animated film where the main protagonist would be an everyday-life object to which we would give a different use.

With my teammates, we chose to use a stapler which looks like a whale and film its life in the ocean. We also decided to show the hardships and suffering it goes through because of pollution, as it ends up eating more plastic than fish.
